We Are Misfits- About Us

Hello! My name is Shyanne, I’m 19, and I’m the person behind Misfits Matter—a small, upcoming brand that I’m currently building right from my living room.

Since a traditional 9–5 isn’t something I can do right now, I decided to create my own path and build something of my own.

Misfits Matter is for the people who have never quite felt like they fit into the puzzle.

Maybe you’re broke and still living with your parents (me, haha). Maybe you can’t afford to constantly buy new clothes. Maybe you live with a disability or chronic condition, whether it’s visible or something most people would never know about. Maybe you struggle with mental health, feel out of place, or you’re simply tired of cutting pieces of yourself away just to fit into places you were never meant to.

You don’t have to do that here.

You matter. You are important. You are needed. And you deserve a place where you can be yourself.

Misfits Matter started as a clothing brand, but I’m growing it into something bigger—a cozy, relatable space filled with things that make people feel good. Over time, you’ll find clothing, stickers, bookmarks, cups, cozy products, digital products, posters, and more.

Some things will be funny. Some will be weird. Some will be relatable. Some will focus on mental health. Some will be Christian. Some will simply be cute because sometimes you don’t need a deeper reason than that.

You’ll probably also see my cats and hamsters making appearances, because they’re already all over my social media anyway.

My goal is to create things that make you smile, feel understood, feel comfortable, or remind you that you don’t have to fit the mold to matter.

Misfits Matter is still small. I’m still learning, still figuring things out, and still building everything one step at a time. But I have a big vision for where I want this to go.

And whether you’ve been here since the beginning or you just found me, you’re one of my little misfits now.

I want Misfits Matter to become a place where people who have always felt like misfits can look around and think:

“Yeah. I belong here.”
