What is Misfits Matter?
Misfits Matter is a small, independently run brand built around comfort, creativity, and the people who have never quite felt like they fit in.
It started as a clothing brand, but it’s growing into something bigger. You’ll find cozy, relatable, funny, meaningful, and sometimes wonderfully weird products made for people who like being themselves.
At the heart of everything is one simple message:
You don’t have to fit the mold to matter.
Why is it called Misfits Matter?
Because being different doesn't make you less.
Some people have always felt like they belonged. Others have spent years trying to change themselves just to fit in.
Maybe you're different because of your personality, interests, experiences, beliefs, mental health, disability, or simply because you're unapologetically yourself.
Whatever makes you a little different, you still matter.
That's where the name comes from.
What can I find in the shop?
Misfits Matter is growing, so the shop will continue to change over time.
You may find:

Some products will be funny. Some will be relatable. Some will be mental-health focused. Some will be faith-based. Some will just be cute because sometimes that's all you need.
Is Misfits Matter a Christian brand?
Misfits Matter includes Christian products and content, but it isn't exclusively a Christian brand.
People have different beliefs, and I want Misfits Matter to be a place where people can find something they connect with without feeling like they have to believe exactly what I believe.
There is room here for different perspectives.
Is Misfits Matter a mental health brand?
Mental health is an important part of Misfits Matter, but it's not the only thing the brand represents.
Misfits Matter is about the whole person—the good days, bad days, weird days, comfortable days, struggles, interests, humor, creativity, and everything in between.
Sometimes you need something meaningful.
Sometimes you need something that makes you laugh.
Sometimes you just need a cute sticker.
All of those things belong here.
What does “cozy” have to do with Misfits Matter?
A lot, actually.
I want Misfits Matter to feel like a comfortable little corner of the internet—the kind of place you can come to when you want something that makes you feel good.
Books, warm drinks, oversized hoodies, soft blankets, cute cups, little stickers, and things that make your space feel like you all have that same feeling.
Being a misfit doesn't have to be miserable.
You deserve comfort, too.
What do the designs represent?
The designs don't all have one meaning.
Some are inspired by mental health. Some are funny or relatable. Some come from things I personally enjoy. Some are about faith. Some are simply ideas that I thought would make someone smile.
You might see something that speaks directly to you—or something that's just really cute.
Both are valid.
Why are some designs happy and others sad?
Because people are complicated.
Nobody feels one emotion all the time.
Misfits Matter isn't here to pretend that everything is sunshine and rainbows. It's also not here to make everything sad.
It's about being honest about all the different pieces of life.
What does the puzzle represent?
The puzzle represents how we change throughout our lives.
We grow. We learn. We experience things. We change our interests, our personalities, our goals, and sometimes even our entire direction in life.
Sometimes we feel like we're missing a piece. Sometimes we feel like we don't belong anywhere.
But being different doesn't mean you're broken.
Maybe you're just a different shape.
Why are some products inspired by your pets?
Because my cats and hamsters are basically part of my social media at this point. 😂
They're a part of my everyday life, so eventually they became a part of Misfits Matter too.
You'll probably see them pop up in stickers and other designs from time to time.
How are your prices determined?
I try to keep Misfits Matter as affordable as I reasonably can.
Prices are based on the actual cost of creating or producing each product, along with a reasonable amount that allows the business to make a profit and continue growing.
Being a small business doesn't automatically mean something should cost a fortune.
I want my products to be fairly priced—not unnecessarily expensive.
Are you actually a small business?
Absolutely.
Misfits Matter is independently created and run, and right now a lot of it literally happens from my living room.
I'm designing, creating, planning, packaging, and figuring things out as I go.
Every purchase, share, follow, and kind message helps support a real person building a real small business.
Can I suggest a product or design?
Absolutely!

Misfits Matter is primarily growing as a product and lifestyle brand, but creativity has always been a huge part of it.
That means you may also see things connected to my writing, music, content creation, digital art, and other creative projects.
Not everything has to fit into one box.
That's kind of the point.

What's the main message behind Misfits Matter?

You don't have to fit perfectly into someone else's idea of who you're supposed to be.
Are your designs made with AI?
No. Misfits Matter's designs are created by me.
I use programs like Canva Pro and Procreate to create, draw, edit, and put my designs together. The artwork and creative direction come from me.
AI isn't used to generate my designs.
Some of my designs may use fonts, graphics, or other resources available through programs like Canva, but I personally create and arrange my designs to make them part of the Misfits Matter brand.
I'm an artist and designer, and I want my work to actually be mine.
That's also why I'm working toward eventually creating my own cut-and-sew clothing instead of relying on someone else's finished garments. I want Misfits Matter to become a brand where the products themselves are designed intentionally—not just a logo slapped onto something.
